Matières Fécales is a Parisian label which embodies the refined glamour and extreme individuality of its founders, Hannah Rose and Steven Raj.

The Matières Fécales story begins in 2014, when the pair met and fell in love while studying fashion design in Montreal. Struggling with conformity in their respective environments, Hannah and Steven found freedom within each other to embrace their true identity. Since then, they have spent a decade pioneering their post-human aesthetic while cultivating a worldwide community that lives by their dogma of fearless expression.

The unconventional brand name captures the beauty and grotesque of the human experience while challenging the glossy facade of a luxury driven culture. Their bold business approach is complimented by a design process committed to shaping the future of timelessness.

The brand debuted at Paris Fashion Week with its FW25 collection in March 2025, positioning itself as one of the most notable shows of the season and a fresh voice pushing boundaries in contemporary fashion through expect razor sharp tailoring and couture-like silhouettes

A label like no other, Matières Fécales liberates those longing for freedom of expression through a singular vision of unleashed elegance and beauty.

"We have each encouraged each other to become who we are deep down. This has been the greatest blessing we’ve given each other."

- Steven

"I started sewing because I thought to myself : “I’m not going to buy anything and I’m going to make my own clothes, so I’ll know how they’re made, that they’re not hurting anyone or keeping kids out of school.”

- Hannah
